A 30-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men in Gamma-II of Greater Noida on Wednesday night. According to police, the victim, a local resident, was on her way to a nearby shopping complex when two local traders, Ashok and Deepak, also residents of Surajpur, waylaid the woman. Police have registered a case at Kasna police station and have arrested both accused.
According to police, the incident occurred when the woman went to Deepak’s dairy in Greater Noida. Deepak, along with his friend Ashok, forced her into an Alto car and drove to a house in Gamma-II. They took turns to rape her. No sooner was the woman set free, she approached her parents and informed the police. Police said that Deepak used to stalk her.
“Both the accused have been booked under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We have also seized the getaway car. The victim has been sent for medical examination to the district hospital in Noida. Swabs taken have been sent for forensic analysis,” said Brijesh Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Greater Noida.
