A three-year-old boy missing since Wednesday evening was found dead inside his house in South Delhi’s RK Puram area on Friday. Family suspect the body was thrown in the house after killing the boy somewhere else. Police have registered a case under relevant sections and started the investigation.

The boy Jatin had gone missing while playing outside his house on Wednesday evening. His father, who is a band master, approached police and lodged a missing complaint at RK Puram Police Station. Since no ransom call was received by Jatin’s family, police had pasted posters in and around the locality.

“On Friday evening, while everyone was searching for Jatin, his grandmother spotted the body at a room on ground floor of the three-storey house located at RK Puram’s Ekta Colony,” said a police officer.

The grandmother raised an alarm and police were also informed. “It was too early to judge whether Jatin was murdered or he fell to his death. His body was found in a vertical position with his head on the ground,” added the officer.

Police said they found a deep injury mark on back side of his head. His eyes were almost popping out, said police. Jatin’s family suspec foul play. They, however, said they had no enmity with

anyone.
