A 25-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree inside the Deer Park in South Delhi’s Safdarjung Enclave area on Wednesday morning. The deceased, identified as Shivashish, was reportedly under depression over his low income.

The incident was reported around 7am by a jogger who discovered the body hanging from a tree. Shivashish’s body was found hanging from a tree. The police team reached the spot. The identity of the deceased was established with the help of documents discovered from his pockets. Police officials claimed that the deceased had apparently tied his hands and then hung himself.

Shivashish worked in a restaurant in Yusuf Sarai area and earned around `6,000 per month which he felt was insufficient for a living. He was currently staying with his brother.

His family members told the police that he had left the house on Tuesday after an argument at home. Prima facie it appears that he reached the park in the wee hours of Wednesday and then hung himself. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Further investigations are underway.
