A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 21-year-old relative in Outer Delhi's Aman Vihar. The girl has suffered severe injuries. She has been admitted in the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
A senior police officer said, “We received a PCR call at around 8:15am from Aman Vihar area. As per the statement given by the mother of the minor girl, the girl was found in a battered condition in her room.”
The officer further said, “Since the father of the minor girl had gone to his native place and the girl was sleeping in her room on the first floor, the accused, son of a close relative of the girl's father, entered her room, forced himself on her and thrashed her.
The incident came to fore in the wee hours when the mother of the girl heard her crying. She raised an alarm and called in other relatives, who thrashed the 21-year-old boy and made a call to the Police Control Room.
The girl who had sustained injuries was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where her condition is stated to be stable.Police said that they have registered a case under IPC sections 376 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
