Thirteen Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) officers served in Delhi have been promoted to the IAS cadre as per the Government’s order. Kulanand Joshi, presently served as secretary, Lieutenant Governor Andaman and Nicobar also one of them.
The civil servant Joshi, belong to Uttrakhand had been additional secretary ( Bhagidari Programme ) during the tenure of former Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit.
He was awarded as best officer by the Dikshit government for his works in Bhagidari programme, which was an ambitious scheme of the then Congress dispensation in Delhi.
Another DANICS officer R N Sharma, who is currently DDA commissioner, has also been promoted to the IAS cadre.
