Dehradun traffic police have drafted a traffic plan in view of the programme. State police said that with complete restrictions being imposed on the vehicular movements in the neighbourhood of the Parade Ground, no vehicle would be allowed to pass routes like Tibet Market to lansdowne, Kanak Chowk to Donga House and Rojgaar Crossing to Convent Crossing. The VIP vehicles would follow routes — EC Road, Survey Chowk or Pacific to Rojgaar Crossing and Convent Crossing before they would enter the ground through the VVIP gate.

The officers and the pass- holders coming from the Pacific Hotel crossing would enter the venue from the entry gate located opposite Donga House. The vehicles must be parked at the places marked for it.

The vehicles of the Army personnel, paramilitary forces, police men, home guards and press representatives would be parked at the Pavilion Ground while they would have to walk down the way from the designated parking place to reach the programme venue from the side of the Pavilion Ground.

Police also said that the vehicles coming from Dharampur, Darshan lal Chowk and Doon Chowk would be parked at Ranger’s Ground while the vehicles coming from Survey Chowk would be parked at Mangla Devi Inter College.
