Some youths of Haridwar city have come up hailing the Modi’s decision to demonitise the currency of 1000 and 500 denomination as a measure to check the hoarding of black money. Taking out a rally with a banner displaying “Youth with Modi ji” youth of Haridwar appealed to the passers-by at Chandracharya chownk on Sunday morning to be patient and support the Prime Minister in the fight against corruption and black money.

A participant in the rally Shiv Hari Joshi said, “We Indians should not be so perturbed over standing in queues before the bank. We are used to standing for hours while waiting for Darshan at Sai baba temple in Shirdi or Tirupati in south India. Even for dun activities like watching cricket match spending 4 hours in a queue is quite common.”

His friend added up saying mockingly, “Has not everyone queued up to get free Jio Reliance sim for phone. During festivals, in offices and government hospitals it is so common so why is one shrugging from standing in bank queue when it comes to a matter of economic reform.”

Another youth came forward announcing that the queues were shrinking by each passing day. “I could get my number after spending 35 minutes in queue in OBC at Ranipur More. I request the denizens of the city to be patient and support our PM in materialising this economic reform,” said Tarun Yadav, a lab technician at SIIDCUl based company here.
