With an intention to increase their hold on the youth, Youth Congress has begun membership campaign, which started on March 17 and will continue till April 13. In the campaign, they would add new members into the Youth Congress. This was disclosed by the Youth Congress election commissioner Deepak Rathore while interacting with mediapersons in Dehradun on Sunday.
To strengthen the Congress, AIIC vice-president Rahul Gandhi had launched oragnisational election in which youth leaders got an opportunity to come forward.
He also revealed that Youth Congress had added 1.06 crore youth including 1.6 lakh from Uttarakhand in the last two years. Once the campaign ends then the existing committee would be dissolved and new committee would be formed after election.
