The Uttarakhand State AIDS Control Society (USACS) organised a one-day workshop on universal work precaution for medical practitioners for treatment of AIDS patients at Doon hospital here on Thursday.
The doctors from the Doon hospital, Doon Women hospital, nursing and technicians participated in the workshop. The aim of the workshop was to train the medical staff about the care they should take during the treatment of AIDS patients.Dr BC Pathak, SMO ART elaborated upon the procedures to be adopted for treating the AIDS patients. Addressing the programe the Principal Medical Superintendent (PMS) of Doon Hospital Dr RS Aswal said that the proper treatment without discrimination of AIDS patients should be insured.
