The board meeting of the Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam limited (UJVNl) was held under the chairmanship of Subhash Kumar here on Monday.
During the meeting, the decision was taken to work on the second stage of Pilangaad, Urgam and Surinagad projects. Besides this, a decision has been taken to request Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission for permission to complete the remaining of work of Maneri Bhali phase two.
The chairman of UJVNl, Subhash Kumar said that during the board meet decision has been taken to start the construction of small hydel project of 2.25 MW capacity in Uttarkashi. This project will cost Rs 9.93 crore.
The board has also taken a call to install solar projects of 500 KW on Haridwar’s Pathri electricity house of UJVNl. In the audit report presented before the the board at the meeting, it was revealed that despite the corporation facing a loss of Rs 91.59 crore due to flood in 2012 and 2013 at present it has net profit of Rs 15.31 crore.
