Making things clear as to how seriously the State government is focusing on the completion of helipads, CS Sharma said on Friday that if at least one third of the projects is not completed by September 20 the chief secretary, district magistrates concerned and the project managers would not withdraw salary for October.
He added that the government is giving equal stress on the completion of the ODCH project under which those whose houses were damaged during the 2013 disaster would build up new houses with the government’s assistance. “The same would apply to ODCH too,” he warned.
Invoking Aligarh where police are always on high alert mode due to its vulnerability to communal distemper and consequent riots, CS Sharma said they must be on high alert ceaselessly in view of the state remaining vulnerable to natural calamities. “Building of helipads is an important part of the contingency strategy,” he added.
