Referring to the Investors Summit to be held in Dehradun on October 7-8, environmental activist Vandana Shiva stressed that simply having the money and willingness to invest it doesn't mean that one can indulge in biopiracy or unjust exploitation of natural resources. She said, “I say this as an individual-we will not allow the traditional knowledge or biodiversity of the State to be exploited unjustly. The works following the investment should all be carried out within the framework of the law in place to protect biodiversity and other aspects,” she stressed.
