Dehradun police has suspended a woman constable who had allegedly taken money amounting Rs 1.15 lakh from a woman in pretext of providing her job in police department five years ago.
In her written complaint, Pauri resident Yashoda Bisht alleged that she had given Rs 1.15 lakh to the woman constable five years ago with an hope of getting job in police department but she refused to pay after failing to provide her job in the department. Dehradun SSP Kewal Khurana said that a departmental inquiry has been set up against the woman constable who has been posted in Patelnagar Police Station.
