Citing a report of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the State of Uttarakhand was top on the list of strike-ridden States. He said, “This is a matter for serious thought. We should not let Uttarakhand become a strike-ridden State, for which the support of the public is essential. Strike by the Government employees hampers the execution of development works. The State Government will not tolerate such hurdles in developmental works,” said the Chief Minister.
