Continuing to pour ridicule on the Union Ministers visiting the State in their hordes and frequently too, the Chief Minister’s media advisor Surendra Kumar said on Wednesday that the State Government would have give nthem red -carpet welcome had they come with a positive mission to assess things in the state. “But they are instead vilifying the state government by taking recourse to flippancy and baseless charges. They are now pontificating on how the state should march, forgetting the fact that they kept sitting on the state’s budget for months,” he said. “Union health minister JP Nadda said that the state government is not issuing utilization certificates (UC) though the Centre is clearing funds . But in reality, the Centre has released mere Rs 21 crore out of Rs 327 crore needed for the construction of Almora Medical College. However, the state government has spent Rs 122 crore on it so far,” Kumar said.
“Union railway minister Suresh Prabhu has unveiled the cosmetic works of railway. They could not have opened even a reservation counter at Gairsain. CM has demanded railway line between Ramnagar-Chaukhutia, Kichha-Khatima, Devband-Roorkee, Saharanpur-Vikasnagar-Dehradun, Rishikesh-Doiwala; direct link between Haridwar-Kotdwar-Ramnagar; Roorkee-Pirankaliyar/Derhadun-Purola, lalkuna-Melani-Tankakpur-pilibhit-Bhojipura-Bareilley section being converted to made meter gauge(101.79Km) and a non- stop fast train between Dehradun and Kathgodam/Ramnagar. But they are uninterested” he said.
He also slammed the petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan, also the state BJP election in-charge, saying that he was yet to release Rs 50 crore, approved by ONGC earlier, for the construction of an international stadium. “As regards, Ujjwala scheme, he is announcing exaggerated figure for Uttarakhand. Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh is not paying attention to the drought the state is reeling under,” he added.
“Union telecom and IT minister Ravishankar Prasad did not give any assurance on connectivity, BTSand broadband service in the border areas. As regards the Namami Gange, Rs 900 crore DPR has been pending before the Union government, but the Union minister is asking people to bring BJP to power to get funds. Union defence minister Manohar Parrikar is also trying to misguide the ex-servicemen in the name of one rank one pension (OROP). Whatever the incumbent government has given on OROP was decided by UPA regime, BJP led union government has compounded the matter as a result of which the ex-servicemen are sitting at Jantar Mantar, Delhi for a long time,” he said. Taking potshots at the Union finance minister Arun Jaitley is threatening to the state government, restored by the Supreme Court. Union home minister Rajnath Singh is also not approving proposals for roads and small helipad in the border areas.
He asked the state BJP leaders to refrain from emulating the rebel Congress leaders, now in BJP. “This would land them in embarrassment in the coming days,” Kumar said.
