Illegal Mining Prevention Vigilance Unit chief executive officer DIG Sanjay Kumar Gunjyal led a team that conducted raids at various riverbed areas of Chidiyapur, Baschandpur and laldhaang in Haridwar district on Thursday.
During inspection, the teams seized 120 overloaded trucks, three loaders and one JCB from the riverbed areas. Action will be taken under Mining Act against the illegal mining operators. “In order to put a check on illegal mining activities, we will continue conducting raids at various riverbed areas of the State,” Gunjyal added.
