Chief Minister Harish Rawat has said that Rail Budget was disappointing because they did not talk about Rishkesh Karnprayag, Tankapur-Bageshwar, Doiwala-Rishikesh and Roorkee-Deoband, which were sanctioned by the previous Government. By overlooking the above four projects, they have disdained the Uttarakhand residents.By accepting Ramnagar-Choukhutia rail line, they might have paid respect to Gairsain, which is deeply associated with State residents. It is not acceptable that Railways have not made any increase in rail fare so that they are curtailing their project. By saying this they want to run rail to earn money only. He was expecting that the incumbent Government would take ahead the sanctioned project, which were approved by the previous Government, but they did not do so. He said that he would appeal to reconsider their proposal.
