It will be recalled that on being informed by villagers, the police had discovered the body of a youth in the Tanda forest area on Tuesday evening. Investigation established that the body was that of Bengali Colony, lalkuan resident Sonu (25 years old).

According to the SSP, investigation of vital clues led the police to Bengali Colony resident Sanju alias Ghoda. According to the police, Sonu had lent about `30,000 to them and would often ask them to return the amount loaned.
