PNS

The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated E-blood bank, E-medicine and online registration system at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Coronation Hospital in Dehradun on Saturday. He said that with the help of technology, distance between the patients and the hospitals would be minimised. All the 35 blood banks have been connected with E-blood bank service in the state, he said, adding that 52 hospitals of the state have been connected with E-medicine so far, a giant leap in the realm of health facilities. “Besides, 45 hospitals have been connected with online registration system.  The health system in the state has reached a dizzy height with the help of technology. Now, it would be easy for the patients to obtain appointment with the doctors in the government-run hospitals through ORS.Gov.in. Based on their Aadhar card numbers, the patients would obtain appointment with the doctors in 45 big hospitals spread across the state. The patients would receive SMSs  which would mention the date and the time of the appointment after completion of  the online registration process. This would save the time of the patients and they would no longer have to wait in queues outside the hospital counters,” CM said.

“It is a matter of pride for us that out of 150 hospitals being connected with online registration system across the country,  45 are located in  Uttarakhand. Though E-Blood bank, one can learn about the availability of blood units in the blood banks. The groups and the blood components would also be shown on website eraktkosh.in and eraktkosh application App. E-medicine has been developed with the technical assistance from C-Desk Noida and all the information related to availability of medicines, expiry and shortage in 52 hospitals would be given. Continuous monitoring about the same would be possible for senior medical officers,” CM said.

He also directed the doctors to prescribe generic medicines to enable the  poor to spend  the minimum on medicines.

He further said that the district hospital would be set up in Dehradun soon. Besides, 108 ambulance services would be strengthened across the state with inclusion of 60 more ambulances.  CM said that 156 dentists would be deputed in the remotest hilly parts of the state. The selection process of the appointment of 712 doctors and specialist doctors are under process, he said, adding that under National Health Mission, 16 specialist doctors have already been appointed. “All these combined would transform the medical facility in the state, bringing easy and cheap facilities for the people,” CM said.
