A ten-day training programme on Drone technique started at Information Technology (IT) Bhawan here on Monday. Uttarakhand, incidentally, is the first State in the country to start the Drone training and application research institute. The programme is being held under aegis of National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO).
In the training programme representatives of police, disaster management, ITDA and forest department participated on Monday.
The programme was inaugurated by the secretary IT, R K Sudhanhu. The director ITDA, Amit Sinha said that in course the programme, the participants would be informed about real time data collection from the technique. He said that the drone technique is helpful in monitoring rough terrain, keeping an eye on poachers in forests and disaster management.
