Traffic thrown out of gear

PNS
Traffic on the first day of the Vidhan Sabha Budget Session was practically thrown out of gear on Wednesday. The administration had made tight security inside and outside the Vidhan Sabha. Over 300 police officers and police personnel, including three additional SPs, seven deputy SPs, 22 inspectors and police station in-charge, 38 sub- inspectors and others were deputed to ensure security around Vidhan Sabha and the city on Wednesday.
Heavy police forces were seen keeping vigil inside and outside the Vidhan Sabha campus and only those with valid pass were allowed to enter the premises. Heavy police forces were deployed too at crossing near Rispana bridge and those  nearer Vidhan Sabha.
The district police had installed barricades around Vidhan Sabha areas and they had also gone for route diversion to facilitate smooth traffic.  Despite policemen being deployed at several crossings, vehicles were found stuck bumper to bumper on several roads.
Roads were clogged as lakhs of pilgrims reached SGRR Darbar to participate in Jhande Mela and thousands of students came out after the board examination was over.  They faced traffic congestion at various crossings like MKP (PG) College crossing, Clock Tower, Saharanpur Chowk, Survey Chowk and Dilaram Chowk.
