Vehicular traffic on the main Haldwani- Nainital national highway near the counting centre set up at the MB PG College, Haldwani, will remain restricted on the day of counting of votes here on May 16, 2014. The vehicular traffic would be diverted to adjacent link roads to ensure smooth flow of the vehicles, said the officials concerned of the Nainital district administration.
More so, no vehicles would be allowed in the radius of 100 meter of the counting centre set up at the MB PG College, Haldwani, asserted the officials concerned of the Nainital district administration. In the meanwhile, fate of as many as 15 candidates from the Nainital- Udham Singh Nagar parliamentary constituency had been sealed in the electronic voting machines (EVMs) on polling day i.e. Wednesday last. However, the main electoral battle here in the Nainital- Udham Singh Nagar is between the Congress party and the BJP.
So here in the Nainital -Udham Singh Nagar parliamentary seat whereas incumbent Congress’ K C Singh Baba is fighting to retain his seat for consecutive third term, the challenge before BJP’s Bhagat Singh Koshiyari is to regain the same seat which the BJP has not won since 1998.
