He also said that with the increasing cases of cyber crime and online cons in the district it is important for the citizens to stay aware, for which an awareness campaign will be conducted by the police department. A thorough plan will be devised so that necessary precautions can be taken in advance.

About women safety he said that it is important to file every complaint in regard to women safety and this will be his priority as well. The department will ensure that immediate action is taken on the complaints.

With the coming Eid festival and Independence Day parade it will be up to the new Dehradun SSP to manage the traffic system in the provisional state capital, as it has been witnessed in the past that every function or festival in the district headquarters results in traffic situations throughout the day. Also, ensuring timely disposal of the remaining petty offence cases will also be the responsibility of SSP Joshi.
