As per the guideline of Govt of India, THDC India limited (THDCIl) celebrated Constitution Day on 26 November, 2015. The celebration was to commemorate the presentation of the Constitution by the Drafting Committee headed by Dr BR Ambedkar and its adoption on 26th Nov 1949.
At THDCIl Corporate Office in Rishikesh, RST Sai, CMD while sharing his views on this occasion underlined the distinct features of our Constitution and the background of establishment of Constituent Assembly.
Sai also read the Preamble of the Constitution before the gathering of employees of the Corporation. SK Biswas, Director(Personnel), Sridhar Patra, Director(Finance) and Vijay Goel, GM(P&A/CC) along with many other senior and junior officers were present on this occasion.
THDCIl is one of the premier hydro power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1400 MW with commissioning of Tehri & Koteshwar Dam to its credit and is bestowed with 'Mini Ratna-Category-I and Schedule 'A' Status. THDCIl also has plans to increase its installed capacity to 2424 MW by the end of XIII th Plan.
