In connection with the alleged rape of a woman by Pradeep Sangwan, son of ex-MP Kishan Singh Sangwan and native of Sonipat (Haryana), the Supreme Court has directed Pradeep Sangwan to provide the white coloured mobile phone to the Dehradun police by June 27 as the victim had disclosed during police interrogation that Sangwan had shot a video of her using a white coloured mobile phone, said State Director General of Police BS Sidhu on Wednesday.

It should be mentioned here that the Supreme Court had granted anticipatory bail to Sangwan with the direction that he should cooperate with the police in investigation of the alleged rape case.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) recently had appealed the court when Sangwan refused to provide the mobile phone mentioned by the woman complainant during interrogation. Taking cognisance of this, the court directed Sangwan to provide the white coloured mobile phone to the police at any cost by June 27.

Moreover, Sangwan's brother in law Ajay Mann who was in contact with the woman victim and allegedly made a deal with her to settle the case had also approached the High Court anticipating his arrest by the police.

Earlier, the SIT had arrested the female victim from her Dehradun home after police collected enough evidence to indict her. She had bought land for Rs 17 lakh at Banjarawala in Dehradun using the money purportedly paid to her by the accused for reaching a 'compromise'. Police had also recovered Rs six lakh unaccounted cash from her home. It should be mentioned here that based on victim's complaint, a case under sections 376 (2), 323, 506 and 66 IT Act was registered in Rajpur Police Station . The victim had already recorded her statement before the magistrate under section 164 of CrPC on April 22. The victim who was an employee at Joyland water park owned by Pradeep Sangwan has alleged that she was sexually exploited by him in Mussoorie and Rajpur.
