A native of Pauri district reportedly stranded in a town in Kuwait has sent a video message to his relative living in Nainital. In the message, 34-year old Manoj Bisht from Thapla village in Bironkhal block of Pauri district has stated that he is one of the 150 Indian workers stranded in the Kuwaiti town without having received their salaries for about five months now.

The passports and local documentation of the workers has also been taken by the company which owes them about five months of salary.

According to local sources, Bisht sent a video message on WhatsApp to his relative Seema Kumari who stays at Krishnapur in Nainital. He has stated that he is among 150 Indian workers stuck in the Jahra town in Kuwait not having received their salaries from a company for about five months now. Facing a tough time without having any money left with them, they are unable to make rounds of the company to seek their dues. Appealing to the Government of India to get the Indians back to the nation, Bisht further informed that he is married. He goes on to State that his wife, three children and aged parents reside in the village in Pauri district.

Bisht further states in the video message that the people from the company had taken away the passports and local documentations of the Indian workers, making the situation tougher for them. Not having received their salaries for five months, their cash savings have also been exhausted. The youth has appealed the government of India to facilitate the payment of their unpaid salaries and to get the stranded Indian workers back to India.
