Stir a success; unveils Govt's autocracy on Opp, says Bhatt

PNS

Ajay Bhatt claimed that the stir was successful as it brought to the fore the autocracy unleashed on Opposition by the State Government.

“They are targeting the BJP MlAs and sending them to jails after tagging them with fabricated cases. Gardarpur MlA Arvind Pandey is one of the victims of authoritarian functioning of the state government. Besides, we demand CBI inquiry into the slew of graft cases like liquor CD scam, disaster relief scam and mining scam,” he said. He also expressed outrage over the force police used to arrest the BJP MlAs.  Some MlAs like Banshidar Bhagat, Rajkumar Thukral and he himself were injured as police used brute force to arrest them, he added.

Echoing the same, state BJP president Tirath Singh Rawat accused the state government of failing on all fronts, warning that   his party would intensify protest across the state in the coming days.

However, senior Congress leader and CM’s spokesperson Surendra Kumar slammed BJP for demanding withdrawal of the case against MlA Arvind Pandey. “Several criminal cases are pending against him in various police stations. BJP leaders are defending the indefensible. They should instead help the state government to force the Centre to release funds for Ardh Kumbh. Besides, they should work hand in hand with the state government to demand special package and green bonus for the state,” he said.
