Well established sources revealed that the department is planning to upgrade the distribution system in the north zone under Restructure Accelerated Power Development and Reform Programme (RAPDRP) for ensuring the round the clock power to the consumers even during inclement weather. After considering that the problem of breakdown especially during the inclement weather has become perennial problem in the north division of Uttarakhand Power Corporation limited (UPCl), the department has recently taken a decision to upgrade the distribution system.
