After terming series of foundation stones being laid by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat as propaganda for luring voters ahead of General Elections, BJP State chief Tirath Singh Rawat said that the Congress-led State Government should take effective steps for redressing the grievances of villagers who faced the brunt of disaster which hit the State in June last year.

While interacting with The Pioneer, BJP State chief Tirath Singh Rawat alleged that the Congress-led State Government is yet to take concrete measures for redressing the grievances of those villagers who face the brunt of natural calamities. “Basic amenities like connecting routes and roads, potable water pipelines, health centres and schools buildings  in the mountainous parts of the state are in the bad shape despite the fact the more than seven months have passed since natural calamities struck Uttarakhand,” he lamented, adding that the State Government is busy laying foundation stones for various projects to attract voters in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand.

Rawat also alleged that Congress-led State Government has also quashed couple of beneficiary projects being introduced during the BJP regime in the state for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society and pushing the state further on the path of development. After expressing his concern over the chopper's service utilised by the Chief Minister Rawat for unveiling projects and schemes across the State, the BJP State Chief said that the projects and schemes which were recently declared by Rawat were already sanctioned during the BJP regime in the state and further expressed his concern that BJP legislators were ignored by the State Government despite schemes and projects were launched at BJP legislators respective constituencies.
