PNS

Uttarakhand Congress disciplinary committee, which had served notice to their 100 party workers including a Cabinet Minister, has been seeking help of AICC disciplinary committee to put a check on anti party activity. It has been noticed that during election party workers works against the party candidate and later they are being seen roaming around the party senior leaders.

Talking to The Pioneer a senior leader said that disciplinary committee will die its natural death because new Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) may be announced in next few days or within a week. If this happen then existing disciplinary committee will automatically get dissolved.

It would be pertinent to mention here that after local body polls state congress disciplinary committee had served show cause notice to the 100 party workers including a Cabinet Minister Dinesh Aggrawal, a district president, three city presidents, two general secretaries of the Women’s Congress. Though they did not issue any notice to the Cabinet minister Dinesh Agarwal so far perhaps after facing the resentment of the senior leaders including the CM

As CM Vijay Bahuguna registered strong objection then disciplinary committee rushed to the Delhi for high command assistance. Then CM said that although there is no interference of the government in the work of the Disciplinary Committee but atleast he or the state President should have been taken into confidence before such a decision against the Cabinet Minister.

Earlier, the State Congress President Yashpal Arya had expressed dissatisfaction over action against the Cabinet Minister who was the Chairman of the local Body election Convening Committee.

Replying to The Pioneer query then the Disciplinary Committee leader Dhirendra Pratap said to seek clear cut guidance from party high command he met AICC disciplinary committee head AK Antony and later met party senior leader Moti lal Vohra.
