State BJP flays Govt for granting official positions to 38 MlAs

PNS

The State BJP has criticised the Congress led State Government over granting of official positions to party MlAs in large numbers in the state.

Out of 40 MlAs, as many as 38 have been made ministers or given other officials positions. By going for appointments in such a large scale, the Congress led State Government has put a huge burden on the State exchequer, alleged leader of Opposition in the State legislative Assembly, Ajay Bhatt, in a statement during his Kumaon visit here on Wednesday.

“Chief Minister Harish Rawat has broken the record of former Chief Minister ND Tiwari regime of granting official positions to such a large number of MlAs,” Bhatt further said. In the meantime, he also  criticised the Congress led State Government for removing Amrita Rawat from the Council of Ministers, describing her removal as dishonour to the women power. “It is quite dishonour to the woman power the way the Congress led State Government removed senior Congress  leader and former Cabinet Minister Amrita Rawat without issuing a notice to her before taking such decision,” Bhatt maintained.

The Congress led State Government frustrated with crushing defeat in the recently concluded lok Sabha polls, has stooped such a low which is quite disappointing and unfortunate, added the leader of Opposition in the State legislative Assembly.
