State BJP chief praises party workers on Parivartan Yatra

Sounding happy  with the  ‘overwhelming’ response the party’s just-concluded Parivartan Yatra has evoked across the State, the State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said on Friday  that the  credit should go to the dedicated party workers. “If I were asked to give marks I would love to give   99.5 per cent to them,” he said.

“On the basis of the warm response the party’s yatra has  evoked, we can easily claim that we would form the next government in the state,” he said.

Bhatt further said that the state party is gearing up  to celebrate the birthday of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee slated on December 25  through a  week-long programme. “We would organize programmes at the booth levels to enlighten the people about the vision the former PM embodies,” he said.

He said that though the state party has  finalised the programme they would seek the party high command’s approval during the BJP core group meeting to be held in Delhi on December 17.

“The party would organise Vidhan Sabha conclave on January 1 which would  cover  all the booths  comprising  70 Assembly constituencies during which booth presidents, booth caretaker and booth level adhikaris (BlA) will be invited to share their experiences. Besides, they would be instructed on how to impact the people in the most effective ways.   It would be  followed by  youth interaction programme between January 5 and 12 in Dehraudn, Srinagar, Roorkee, Haridwar, Kashipur, Rudrapur, Haldwani, Almora and Pithoragarh,” Bhatt said .

During this period, the party would also organiase Nari Samman (women felicitation) ceremony.  “During this period, the women will be apprised of the slew of steps the  former PM Vajpayee and incumbent PM Narendra Modi have taken for their welfare in minds. We are presently firming up the details of a programme to be held   for the farmers.  During this, we would tell the people the funds the Centre has released for their welfare,” the state BJP chief said.

Tearing into the Harish Rawat government, he said that their  interaction with the Union ministers had made it clear that  the state government is not sending DPRs or UCs against the funds  released by them. “This gives a lie to the  CM’s charge against the Centre. He keeps claiming that execution of development projects is being delayed due to the Centre sitting on the funds. But the reality is different. It is the state government that is to blame for the mess the state is in,” Bhatt said.
