The Nainital district police emphasised on tenants’ verification on a regular basis while directing the personnel to maintain law and order in the district. Reviewing the law and order situation of the district on Monday, Senthil Abudai, SSP, Nainital, asked the officials of different police stations to do verification of the migrants or tenants on a regular basis and take necessary measures to curb crimes.
At the same time, the SSP Nainital asked the police to ensure timely completion of the investigation of different pending cases. SSP also stressed on the need to curb illegal mining across the district and directed the police officials concerned of the different police stations of the Nainital district to check illegal mining activities in their respective areas.
SSP Nainital also stressed on the need to ensure police presence around busy public places like schools and banks during the peak hours. Nainital district police also called for conducting regular checking in restaurants and ‘dhabas’ to curb illegal sale of liquor in these places.
