Annual sports meet was organised at Madhav Rao Devle Siksha Mandir of the Divya Prem Sewa Mission for leprosy patients and their children. The DPSM is said to be the lone organisation of its kind working especially for leprosy patients who suffer social neglect and rejection.
The programme was jointly inaugurated by principal Dr Jitendra Singh, Ashok Gupta, Balkrishan Sashtri, Brijendra Pandey and lilawati Gautam. All the students participated in the sports meet that comprised 32 events for the children to boost their physical stamina and interest.
In 100 metres race, Sushil of class IV stood first in boys section and Rani of class V stood first in girls section. Aamna of class V stood first in long jump. In tug –of –war, class IV won the event.
