The Vidhan Sabha speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal chaired a meeting with departmental officials regarding the preparations to be made for the Vidhan Sabha session slated to be held at Bharadisain in Gairsain in the month of November.
Officials of the Public Works Department informed about the condition of the national highway and link roads leading to Gairsain. Kunjuwal directed the department officials to ensure proper condition of the Karnprayag-Gairsain, Chaukhutiya-Karnprayag motor roads. Officials were directed to spruce up the PWD and forest department dak bungalows in Gairsain in addition to which the Chamoli district magistrate was directed to book the rooms in hotels at Gairsain. Jal Sansthan officials were directed to do the needful to provide required water supply in Gairsain and nearby areas. The Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker Anusuya Prasad Maikhuri said that the potable water supply lines to villages Parvadi and Sirangaon which were damaged during construction work should be repaired before the assembly session. Meanwhile, the speaker also directed that the amount be made available to the executing agency for completing the work remaining in construction of Vidhan Sabha building in Gairsain and that bedding, furniture and other arrangements be made in the 30 MlA residences constructed at Bharadisain.
