Speaker of the State legislative Assembly Govind Singh Kunjwal has called for speedy clearance of forest land transfer related matters in Almora.
All the forest land transfer related matters must be worked on priority basis. Carelessness on part of the officials concerned won’t be tolerated at any cost, said Speaker Kunjwal, while taking a review meeting in this regard in Almora on Monday. As the officials concerned informed there are as many as 52 land transfer related matters still pending at different levels. Out of these 52 land transfer related matters, as many as 42 such matters are presently pending at the nodal officer level, while rest 10 such matters are pending with the Government of India level, further informed the officials concerned of the Almora district administration.
Expressing concern over the issue, Kunjwal asked the officials of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak yojana and PWD to work out these pending land transfer related matters on priority basis so that developmental works could be pushed ahead.
