Taking note of rising accidents on the stretch from Ballupur Chowk to Vikasnagar, Dehradun SP Traffic DS Gunjyal has directed traffic officers and City Patrol Unit personnel on Friday to conduct physical inspection of the roads along the vulnerable stretch.
He also asked them to submit a report after the inspection. Statistics reveal that the stretch is seeing accidents at regular intervals, he said, adding that the police personnel have been directed to photograph the roads from where maximum number of accidents is being reported. After studying the report, they would take appropriate steps to check road mishaps, he added. It must be written here that a number of accidents have taken place because of bad road condition If it happens and brought to reality, many accidents may be averted. The need of the hour is to make perfect traffic policing to curb accident.
