Dozens of Samajwadi Party members protested against the State Government’s proposal to provide 10 per cent horizontal reservation in the Government jobs and pension for the identified Statehood activists at Clock Tower in Dehradun on Tuesday.
They assembled at Clock Tower near statue of Indramani Badoni and shouted anti-Government slogans. The party president Dr Satyanarayan Sachan said that such blanket reservation for the Statehood activists is wrong, on principle. Rather, the financially unprivileged persons should be given reservation, he added.
