The students of School of Media and Communication Studies (SMCS), Doon University organised an awareness campaign on virtues of saving water at the Government inter-college (GIC) in Doodhli village here on Wednesday.
The students presented a street play on the theme ‘Save water’. The students and faculty interacted with the school students of GIC and discussed various ways of conserving water and using it productively. The students of GIC appreciated the play and resolved to save water.
The Programme coordinator and Assistant Professor, SoMCS, Aabshar Abbasi suggested the concept of rain water harvesting to the students and elaborated about the ways by which one can use water adequately in daily life.
The campaign is part of series of such programmes the university is organizing under the ‘Swachh Bharat and Swastha Bharat Abhiyan’
