light rain at regular intervals came as relief to the people from the scorching heat here on Sunday. However,water-logging on some busy roads of Haldwani gave tough time to motorists and pedestrians on Sunday. The vehicular traffic remained badly affected on different cityroads particularly on the Haldwani- Kaladhungi Road, Mangalparao Water-logging in Indira Nagar to name a few of the places was a routine affair. But nothing has been done to improve the situation over the period of times as the people of the respective areas said. However, the farmers particularly those who are engaged in mango cultivation have welcomed these occasional spells of rain showers as raining is good for ripening of mangoes during this period.
