In the recent case of a building earlier occupied by the late general Hanut Singh being sealed by the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD), a representative of the Shivbalayogi Ashram averred that they are afraid of pressure being exerted by influential persons to affect this case. They, further, alleged that after the sealing of the property, the nephew of the late Hanut Singh, Nripendra Singh has been offended and hence trying to defame Shivarudra Balyogi and Sadhvi Ambashivranjini of the said Ashram.
In a statement issued to the media, the Shivbalayogi Ashram representatives informed that the city magistrate’s earlier report was made the basis for sealing the said compound. The report clearly states that about 60 square metre land on Rajpur Road was under encroachment. The back portion of the Ashram falls in Kishanpur area and is currently in the name of the municipal corporation of Dehradun.
Hanut Singh had constructed a building on this plot and following his demise, considering the building to be an illegal construction, the district administration had sealed the place on the complaint of Shiv Bal Yog Maharaj Trust secretary Uday Prakash.
He had further alleged that Nripendra Singh had encroached on the said land and was threatening them following the complaint. The Trust representative further averred that Singh was trying to defame those involved in the Ashram.
