Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi will inaugurate seminar at the AMN Ghosh Auditorium in Dehradun on Sunday as a part of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation limited (ONGC)’s celebrations of International Day of Older Persons. The seminar is being organised by Dr Jauhari lal former Director-HR, ONGC and National president of Management leadership and Development Centre in association with ONGC’s Retired Officers Association, Dehradun.
The International Day of Older Persons is being celebrated every year in accordance with a resolution of United Nations. This day is dedicated to honour, respect and care for the elderly people of the world and also to recognise their contributions to the society and examine issues that affect their lives. The theme of this year celebration is “The future we want-what older persons are saying longevity and Development: Opportunities and Challenges”.
The aged persons should enjoy their remaining life with dignity, fulfillment, good health, safety security and contentment and be recognised as an integral part of the society in October of every year all across the world.
