The Bageshwar district administration on Monday issued prohibitory orders and imposed Section 144 in the district with a view to ensure free, fair and peaceful lok Sabha election -2014.
The Section 144 will continue in force till the completion of the general elections 2014 i.e. May 17, 2014, said the officials of district administration. While the officials of the Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and police will make the people aware about the imposition of this order in urban areas, tehsildars and BDOs have been assigned the task of making the citizens of the rural areas aware about the imposition of Section 144, added the officials.
