The State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC) director Dr Arjun Singh Sengar has informed that the Government of India and State government have requested persons cured of Covid-19 to donate plasma.
He said that at a time when the entire nation and the world are in the grips of novel coronavirus, plasma donated by cured patients can help Covid patients who are in a serious condition. Plasma therapy can prove to be a life saver for serious patients of Covid-19.
The cured patients wanting to donate plasma can contact the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on 7906913739 or the Sushila Tiwar government hospital at Haldwani on 9997244005, he added.
