In a bid to resolve the existing conflict between the officials of the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) and the Doon Valley Waste Management (DVWM) company related to sanitation arrangement of the State capital, acting Additional Mukhya Nagar Adhikari (AMNA), Bansidhar Tiwari chaired a meeting with the officials of the company on Friday.
During the meeting, the responsibility to manage the sanitation arrangement was allocated to the company and MCD officials separately. Tiwari asked the CEO of DVWM, Siddharth Jain, to manage the sanitation work in 10 wards and the remaining 50 wards would be managed by the MCD.
Tiwari said that the names of particular wards divided between the company and corporation would be finalised in a day or two. Senior city health officer, Dr RK Singh maintained that the MCD officials are making all possible efforts to bring the deteriorating sanitation level of the town on track. He claimed that possibly the sanitation arrangement would improved in 4-5 days.
