Ruby Choudhary who was taken on four days’ police custody by SIT on Tuesday to investigate the case of her mysterious stay in lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (lBSNAA) campus in Mussoorie, was admitted at Doon Hospital after she complained of numbness in her right arm and right feet on Thursday.

Her lawyer Rajiv Raturi alleged that Choudhary had been tortured during interrogation in Nainital. Earlier on Tuesday, she had been taken to Meerut by SIT to collect evidences like IAS probationer’s uniform and computer/laptop she had used while posing as IAS trainee.

On Wednesday, she was taken to Nainital from where she was supposed to have procured the fake ID card bearing her designation as Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

She is said to have used fake ID card while getting into the campus and attending President of India Pranab Mukherjee’s programme held in the academy’s campus in December last year.

Advocate Raturi alleged that SIT members had mentally and physically tortured Choudhary while she was being grilled in Nainital which resulted in numbness of Choudhary’s hand and feet.

He accused SIT members of coercing his client to own up all the blame of the case while withdrawing the allegations she had levelled against some senior academy officers Raturi further said that her body is not rightly functioning in some parts.

"This was noticed after she was brought from Nainital to Rajpur police station. She is under treatment now. Several medical tests have been conducted by the doctors. The reports are awaited," he added.

He further alleged that the investigating officer (IO) had not gone to Meerut along with Choudhary on Wednesday. "This is surprising as IO was supposed to be present there," he said.

Batting for CBI probe, he said a number of senior administrative officers are allegedly involved in it. "As things stand now, SIT cannot take things to their logical conclusion," the lawyer said.
