Ruby Choudhary case: SIT submits chargesheet

PNS

In connection with the Ruby Choudhary case, Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the state police has submitted charge-sheet to the SSP office to be filed in the court on Thursday. At SSP office, scrutiny is being done by the police officers, said a police officer.

Sources said that in the chargesheet, two Sections of IPC-380 and 411 have been added in the existing FIR lodged in the police station, Mussoorie. Earlier, based on complaint submitted by academy security officer Satyaveer Singh, a case under Sections 420/467/468/471 of the IPC was registered against Ruby in the Mussoorie Police Station on April 2 evening, said SIT in-charge SSP Dr Sadanand Date. Ruby was arrested on April 3 night. Sources further said that the charge-sheet would nail Ruby in the case.

Recently, the team had recovered a report from Forensic Science laboratory (FSl) on the hand- writing of a letter. As per FSl report, the writing was Ruby’s. The disclosure runs counter to Ruby’s claim that she had got the letter from an academy official to facilitate her entry in the academy.

The people are still in a state of disbelief as to how Ruby had stayed    in the campus of India’s premier academy- lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (lBSNAA) -for around seven months, posing as an IAS probationer without connivance from the higher-ups of the institution.

Investigation revealed that the team probing the case has not yet found any concrete evidence to implicate deputy director Saurav Jain in the case. Mention worthy, Ruby alleged that it was Jain who had helped her to stay there for a large sum of money.
