On the directions of the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Rs 85 crore has been released from the SDRF fund for efforts to tackle COVID-19. Each district has been provided Rs 5 crore for containment of COVID-19 while Medical Education department has been issued Rs 20 crore for strengthening of COVID-19 notified hospitals and facilitation of required equipment. Apart from this, Rs 20 crore has been released to the Uttarakhand transport corporation for salaries of employees and other expenses.
