Doon residents are facing problems due to the diverted traffic as the timings of the diversion are not fixed.
Earlier, the route was diverted between 6pm to 8pm but on Thursday the route was diverted in the morning time between 11am to 5pm. A local resident Deepshika said that the route diversion is a problem for everyone as one has to cover a long distance just for going to the other side of the road. She also said that timing of the diversion is daily changing as it is not fixed which is resulting in more inconvenience. "If one has go to Indra Market from Tibetan market they can't go directly as they have to take left turn to the Darshanlal Chowk and then towards Rajpur road and then to Indra Market it simply means that police is doing their work without thinking about the public," she added. It is not only taking much time but also wasting more petrol. She also said that either this rule should be imposed permanently every time or should be stopped as public will not bear this rule any more if the timings fluctuate daily.
