PNS

Despite worsening of health of one of the agitators perched atop the overhead water tank at Pavilion Ground, the association of laboratory/ office assistants of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) have decided that the agitators would descend the water tank only after the State Government releases Government Order (GO) of their reinstatement.

Five members of the association are stationed at the top of the overhead tank ever since they scaled it on  Tuesday/Wednesday night. Other members of the association are stationed at the base of the tank.

The President of the association,  Vivek Bhatt said that the condition of one of the members worsened on Friday and he is regularly vomiting and complaining of stomach ache.

The administration stationed an ambulance on the spot on Friday. Bhatt said that the association is not satisfied with the decision of state cabinet on Thursday to adjust the laboratory and office assistants of RMSA in the colleges of the state. He said that the state cabinet in the past too had assured to create posts for them in the education department but nothing happened. Bhatt said that the agitators would descend from the overhead tank only when the state government releases the GO for the cabinet decision.

The RMSA workers are agitating on single point agenda  of renewal of their contract. The education department had terminated the services of 1256 outsource employees of RMSA as the central government had stopped funding their salaries in the month of March.
